Get to know Imilce Castro-Paz, M.D.

Dr. Castro Paz was born and raised in Southern California. More recently, she has become a Northern California native after completing undergraduate, medical, residency, and fellowship training at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. She has always had a passion for math and science early on and was inspired to pursue medicine after experiencing the wonders of medicine through her brother who has a chronic medical condition. Some of her interests include health disparities, health equity, women’s health, and artificial intelligence in medicine. When not in the reading room, she is enjoying Northern California’s natural beauty on hikes or spending quality time with family and friends. She is also an animal lover and has three adorable cats. Her dream job, other than being a Neuroradiologist, would be to work with or open her own animal rescue.
